After several days of hard work, the video is now up on Etsy's site and ready for your votes!

To view it, just follow this link: http://www.etsy.tv/video/If-Etsy-were-a-person

Just a note...it has audio, so you may want to turn the volume down if you're watching in a public/work place.

Lucketts Spring Market

The Lucketts Spring Market was a wonderful success. I sold a variety of my jewelry - kawaii cuties, the 'Shirley' Necklaces - one vintage earring as a focal point with vintage beads and antique brass chain, vintage picnic hampers, an awesome restored black 1950s Westinghouse office fan ( I still have another if anyone is interested...), wire mannequins and more.

This cute green desk found a home - as well as one of the fans

This fantastic antique buttermilk yellow blanket chest and vintage hobby horse are still available...

My fab fuzzy flip flops were flying off the rack

Here's Shirley - with her many necklaces
My Sister in Law Lisa brought down these wonderful smelling candles

The lucky family who walked away with 3 of the 4 Redmon (Red Man) Peru, Indiana picnic hampers.
It was a lot of hard work, but we had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to next year!!!

Lucketts Spring Market

Sorry for such a dry spell. I have been crazy busy getting ready for the Lucketts Spring Market this weekend. I have been making jewelry, wreaths, knitted goods, painting furniture, hunting and gathering cool vintage stuff, and marking down the 'old' goodies in my shop to take with me.

And of course I have also been trying to keep up with my listing and sales on Etsy and Artfire and Ebay, landscaping with my husband and party planning - at a friends house who is hosting a double graduation party - college for their daughter Alysia, and high school for their son Jacob - also this weekend!!!!!

So please join us this weekend May 30 & 31 at the Lucketts Store and the Lucketts Community Center for a great collection of vendors with piles of cool stuff!

Look for me: Bittersweet Design Studio and stop by and say hi! If you tell me about this blog I will give you 10% off your purchases!

And yet another line of Jewelry...

This past week has been spent doing lots of sneezing, coughing, and napping... Since I was relatively coherent for some of my waking hours I was at least productive with fleshing out my shipping profiles on etsy and artfire, and also got a few more items listed on ebay.

I also have used these evenings to create another line of jewelry - 'Sea and Sky - Compositions'. I have wanted to put this combination together for a while - oxidized and shiny sterling, stick pearls, coin pearls, freshwater pearls, and amazonite in different shapes. The earrings and bracelets are simple and symmetrical, but the necklaces 'wander' a bit - I treated these like compositons - instead of on a canvas - it would be on beading wire... what did I want to see next? - if it was a long necklace and could be doubled - what would line up (or lay) next to what? How would they layer together?

'A Wintry Mix' Open House

Hello! We are inviting you to come to our 8th Annual Winter/Valentine's Day Open House.

Where: Bittersweet Design Studio and Moonshine Essentials

Paeonian Springs, VA

When: Friday, January 30th from 12 noon to 5pm and

Saturday, January 31st from 12 noon to 5pm - Notice - per special request we will open at 11am today!
Refreshments: Of course! We made peppermint crunch clusters and sand tarts - a rolled sugar cookie. We will also have hot tea to drink.

Our focus for this open house is a 'wintry mix'. Coined by Virginia - an homage to her Pop who is a weatherholic; to the weather - you never know what it may bring this time of year; and also to the items we like to focus on at this open house - a blend of winter items - the blues and whites of snowmen and snowflakes, and the reds and pinks of hearts and all those things that say love.

We always have a great time at these events and we hope to see you here - either Friday or Saturday! Love and Kisses! xo Elizabeth and Virginia

Handmade Holiday Open House

This coming weekend - November 21 and 22 Friday from 12 noon to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 5 pm.
Please come to our Handmade Holiday Open House.
I have been on 'creative fire' lately and have made all sorts of new goodies for your gifting pleasure, as well as finding all kinds of cool vintage stuff for you to enjoy.
The ladies at the bazaar sold all but 3 of the felted purses - I will have these available. Of course we will also have Amy and Kathy's candles (Herbal Star)- the best ever!, some of the fantastic soaps from Julie and Dick (The Parsonage), Lisa's handmade cards and other creative and unique offerings.

Virginia's shop, Moonshine Essentials is filled with all sorts of cool clothes and accessories, and we've got even more jewelry, cards, scarves, and flip flops (some of that 'creative fire' I was talking about).
As usual, we will have refreshments - not sure what goodies I am going to make yet - but they will be yummy!
Also, always know that we are happy to accommodate special requests regarding our hours!
